Our Story

Where Passion Meets Purpose

At Nyahururu Medical Training College (NMTC), we believe that healthcare is not just a career — it’s a calling. Founded in 2016 with a bold vision to shape the future of healthcare, NMTC has grown into a trusted centre of excellence for medical and health sciences education in Kenya.

From our humble beginnings with just thirty pioneering students, we’ve evolved into a dynamic institution that empowers hundreds of learners every year to serve, lead, and innovate in the healthcare sector.

Driven by a Purpose to Serve

Our journey began with one clear mission — to nurture skilled, compassionate, and ethical healthcare professionals who can make a real difference in people’s lives. Every programme we offer, from Nursing and Clinical Medicine to Health Records and Information Technology, is designed to blend knowledge, practical experience, and human connection.

Here, our students don’t just study medicine — they learn the art of caring, leading, and healing.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

At NMTC, education extends far beyond textbooks and lectures. Our students train in modern skills laboratories, digital learning environments, and clinical placement hospitals where they gain hands-on experience under the guidance of seasoned healthcare professionals.

Through mentorship, research exposure, and real-world practice, we ensure that every graduate leaves not only with qualifications — but with confidence, compassion, and competence.
