Experienced staff

All the members of our teaching staff have been registered and licensed to practice by the various regulatory bodies in Kenya, ensuring that they deliver the best. We ensure that our teaching staff, both full time and part-time have clinical practice experience and renew their licenses as required by the respective regulatory bodies.

Adequate Modern Facilities

The college has modern learning and accommodation facilities. The college has a modern library operating on a KOHA library System.

The skills laboratory is furnished with modern patient simulators and mannequins. Our students experience a virtual patient interaction interface within the skills laboratory which is backed up with videos demonstrating patient assessment, management and care. This allows the students to develop vital skills before meeting patients at our clinical placement facilities.

Affordability

The living costs in Nyahururu are very low compared to most places in Kenya. Students are able to live on low budget.

Our diploma and certificate courses run in semesters. This allows the students and their guardians to plan well in advance.

Our students are also eligible to receive Afya Elimu Loans with most of the benefiting from these disbursed by the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)

Serene and Conducive Learning Environment

The college is located next to a river in the controlled development suburb of Ziwani in Nyahururu, 4 kilometres from Nyahururu Town, along Nyahururu – Nyeri road.  The college is located 500 metres from the highway, thus ensuring that the college environment is quiet and at the same time accessible.

Exposure to Research and Consultancy Services

The NMTC students are actively engaged in research and consultancies as enumerators and guinea pigs. They are thus afforded a rare opportunity to interact with health research issues, project proposal development, data collection led by high caliber health scientists and consultants.
